I have the next series in my guitar building series coming out. It will
cover: (this is copy and pasted from my website)

I'm about halfway through filming this DVD right now. This video will
cover two topics!! IT will cover neck angles and how to set a neck to the
body to acheive the proper angle so that the guitar will play and sound
great. Secondly I will be showing the neck joint I use. It is a double
Mortise and tenon. By that I mean the neck and the fingerboard extension
bolt on. With this system you can take a neck off in less than 3 minutes! I
will show the joint and how to incorporate it into your building! This
video is set to release 11/15/2005. More info and clips to come soon.

You can pre-order it if you are interested at: www.mayesmusic.com

Thanks

Having seen, and building and played the neck system John is going to show, it is a really good system and well worth learning. There are several elemnents to making the body with it that may need minor adjustments, but worth while

Great! I'm off to your website now, John. Thanks for doing these DVD's. They have explained and clarified so much for me.

For sure! One of the most cool things for me at healdsburg was that I got
dozens of people come up to me and tell me they got my videos and that
they have really helped. It is cool to think I'm helping people in their
journey through lutherie!

John

Sooner or later I want to get the whole set from you. Is there much additional shipping to Canada?

Josh

The thing I like about John's DVDs is (besides the fact that they are chock full of good information) you can buy them one at a time as needed. It sure makes it easier to sneak one into the budget.

Guess I'd better get on over to mayesmusic.com, I still haven't got the binding or bridge videos yet either.

I just bought the whole set again (lost original some time in move to Maine) I now will have lots of time to watch video's to help me get through the no shop time for the winter. I miss going to John's shop and hanging out a day or so, he and his family are the best of folks and make you feel that way.
